Below is the Synopsis of what we do in partner with the Boys and Girls Club.
Workshops are provided every week wherein the following topics are explored:
- Goals
- Plans
- Hard Work
- Good Association
- Believe in yourself
The participants are divided by gender for the workshops. During the
workshops the facilitator explores the topic of the week. In turn, students
are challenged to utilize the skills taught by being assigned a project each
week. At the end of the workshops the students gather for a “talk
show” exercise. Throughout this exercise the group is provided with real
life scenarios that relate to the topic of the week. Students are given
the opportunity to role play with fictitious characters and offer advice to
their peers as if they were on a real life talk show!
The Winners Don't Quit program was held in five Boys and Girls Clubs across the Central Florida area. The participation from the club members grew so much each week that we had to expand our groups almost weekly. The members of the clubs enjoyed the workshops so much that they asked us to come back......and we did!!!!!
